I've found this site to be very informative...the article does not go into the specific methods of "how to craft", but rather how to choose a craft profession based on your gaming habits and what you want to achieve from this area of LOTRO's gameplay.
Whether you're a true noob or just getting back into the fray, this guide is well written and quite thorough.
